October 28th in New Zealand Queenstown, the Lakes community was invited to come out in force and cheer on their local teams as they played former All Blacks player Richie McCaw’s and his touch football team the All-Stars in a touch football tournament hosted by credit card company Mastercard.
This event was to promote Mastercard new Tap feature, calling the event “Tap for your Town Touch Tournament”. Queenstown Lakes hosted the event at their local football grounds as they made the highest number of contactless payment transactions per capita from June to August.
