The Bond allows you to Go Live from just about any location, whether it’s for a sports event at a stadium, a business discussion in a conference room or an event in the middle of the Australian desert. The Teradek Bond covers it by bonding multiple networks to strengthen the signal, then transmits your streaming camera feed to the nearby cellular towers to be streamed to a platform of your choice. Additionally, an ethernet cable can be added as one of the inputs to strengthen the quality of the signal, making it even more reliable.
Unlike other streaming encoding software that distributes content over the internet in low quality, the quality of the streaming camera content in High Definition (1080), plus gives you the option to convert the input format and quality to suit the feed coming from your streaming camera. This includes changing the resolution, video compression and bitrate (check out Tech Specs below for more info).
How it works, the encoder uses four 4G modems from either the Telstra or Optus network, then conjoins the data from each of the dongles to create a strong reliable upload signal to stream your content out via the cellular towers. Furthermore, the streaming camera feed can be sent to a server where it can be viewed in real-time and remotely controlled, then distributed to multiple platforms and channels all at once. The platform destinations could be your website, Facebook, Vimeo, Live Stream, social media platforms or a platform of your choice.
