Go live is excited to announce that they hosted a virtual Livestream with the Australian space agency and special guest NASA during world space week. The virtual event was hosted in Adelaide, South Australia, at the space agency headquarters on Friday, the 7th of October.
The discussion between the head of ASA, Enrico Palermo and NASA astronaut Shannon Walker discussed the preparation and training involved to become an astronaut. Moreover, the space activities and the opportunities space bring.
Furthermore, the virtual meeting between the two guests acknowledged this year’s world space week theme, women in space. And the importunacy and progression of gender equality within the worldwide space initiatives. Dr Walker has been to space twice in her career, once with NASA in Russia and Space X in Houston.
Although this was not a physical live stream event, with the guest in house and online, more recently named Hybrid, the live conversation between ASA and Dr Walker was just as effective. Dr Walker presented a PowerPoint that showed and described what training is required before going into space. The presentation was essential as Dr walker talked through her presentation and referred to the pictures and videos throughout the live stream event.
Go Live achieved this via online virtual meeting software V Mix and content delivery network Livestream. This software is essential when hosting an online virtual and hybrid meeting. The software allows you to connect a laptop as a graphic source, which is necessary when presenting a PowerPoint or another presentation source of choice. Furthermore, Go Live can connect the presenter to a device that allows the presenter to click through the slides at their own pace.
Additionally, Go Live hosted the virtual event on YouTube, Facebook and Go Live’s preferred content delivery network, Livestream. All delivery networks were white labelled, meaning there was no external branding from the CDN host, allowing ASA to be the hero of the Livestream.
The Livestream allowed guests online to ask Dr Walker questions at the end of the virtual event; this was essential for engaging with the viewers and guests.
